Museum shop Havsboden

Our museum shop Havsboden is stocked with local handicraft, souvenirs, postcards and posters. We also have books about hunting, fishing, animals and about Åland's history and sights. For children we have plushies in form of squirrels, fish, dogs and many more. The museum shop has no entrance fee and it is possible to visit just the shop without paying the entrance fee to the museum. The opening hours are the same as the museum's.

Geotrail “Through fire and ice”

Outside of the museum is a geotrail "Through fire and ice". The geotrail tells the story of Åland's geological history. The 380 meters long trail is a time travel of 2000 million years, through volcanoes, fossils and the ice age. The trail follows the bedrock of varying ages. At the end of the path is also a prediction of what the future has in store for Ålands bedrock. Read more about the story in document 1 and document 2.
